make it their goal to give their patients the best care possible and provide clients the best advice for their pet. We currently have two full time veterinarians and one part-time.
Dr. Slack graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Dr. Slack practices small animal medicine and surgery. She has a strong interest in internal medicine. Dr. Slack recently sold RBVH to Dr. Trish Mazzolini. She plans to stay at the hospital part time for a few months, at which time she intends to explore doing volunteer work. Currently, she has 2 dogs of her own. When she is not busy treating patients, Dr. Slack loves to hike, traveling to new places and reading.
Dr. Stone graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Prior to working at RBVH, she spent 2 1/2 years at an equine referral facility, and 1 1/2 years at a small animal practice. She also learned veterinary acupuncture at CSU 2 years after graduating. Dr. Stone is now the large animal vet at RBVH, but also treats small animals as well. She has a strong interest in general soft tissue and orthopedic surgery for both small and large animals. When she is not busy in the hospital, she enjoys running, hiking with her two dogs, and gardening.

Patricia Mazzolini, DVM
Dr. Trish Mazzolini received her veterinary degree at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. After 3 years of veterinary practice on the east coast, Dr. Mazzolini moved to New Mexico where she has been practicing veterinary medicine for 11 years. Dr. Mazzolini is the new owner of Rio Bravo Veterinary Hospital and we are all very excited to have her here. She enjoys seeing a wide variety of animals including dogs and cats, small ruminants such as goats and sheep, and some exotic animal species. Trish enjoys many outdoor activites, but especially enjoys hiking with her Chihuahua.
